Prior to the creation of the first woman, the bible recorded that God saw that the man HE created needed a companion, so HE made Eve. Hence, companionship was the principal aim for the creation of a woman. However, people of the world today don’t think so - atleast not anymore.
This is not the regular gender war in our country today, but about some of the very factual reasons why women cheat on their men.
According to 2012 statistics from the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, 14% of married women have cheated compared to 22% of married men – it seems to me like a competition.
So, after my last relationship which almost closed down my bank account, I decided to watch from the sideline in other to really understand why women cheat. So i bumbled this piece, organised by Dr. Janne Lomasky, a Guest Author at DivorcedMoms.com. She made a list of reasons why women cheat and I find them interesting.
1. Lack of attention and intimacy:
Women are built to desire intimacy, physical touch, mental and emotional attention. When they are not receiving this from their husband or boyfriend, it will only be a matter of time and she may seek it from another man. However, when this happens, i would always ask...What happened to talking it out or drawing his attention? Increasing passion and romance in your relationship?
2. Revenge:
Being cheated on is a very difficult act to forgive. For those who are victims of cheaters, you know how awful it feels. When you cheat on a girl, she feels deceived, hurt, angry, sad, numb and even violated. Sometimes, it affects her self-esteem. She would mostly start thinking of revenge and this would earn her a rank as the next cheating partner.
3. Bad sex:
The best solution is to get the help of a sex therapist or teach your partner what works for you.
4. Body physique:
This is the most hilarious part. These days, most men are attracted to ladies with big boobs and butt. I'm still wondering if it's natural. When a lady finds herself with these very qualities that attract men, her temptation to cheat rises, and trust me, it takes more than self-control to resist offers from desperate men.
5. Your bank account balance:
Women these days are very much interested in your bank account balance. When the guy is financially unstable, his cheating girlfriend would make a run to the next available guy. It’s that simple.
These are only a few patchy reasons why a lady would cheat on her partner. Any woman, who cheat based on any of these reasons, isn't worthy to be in a relationship. She needs to park her bag and go home...its holiday!
